Basic CERT Training is again available within Prince George's County beginning on November 20 & 21 at 9 AM. The CERT training is 16 hours over the course of 2 days and will be held at the Prince George's County Office of Emergency Management located at 7915 Anchor Street, Hyattsville, MD. Basic CERT Training covers skills that are important to know in a disaster when emergency services are not available. With training and practice, and by working as a team, you will be able to protect yourself and maximize your capability to help for the greatest number of people after a disaster. At the June council worksession, Council member Doug Bowles introduced a resolution recognizing June as Lesbian, Gay , Bisexual and Transgender (LGBTQ+) Pride Month in Colmar Manor. Passage of the resolution is expected at the regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council on June 8 th . This special event will take place at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, June 10, 2021. All are invited to attend.
