Boxes for Recycling

Image
BREAK IT DOWN!! . . . boxes for recycling, that is. Recyclables are collected on Fridays in Colmar Manor. Please place your recycling bins curbside with lids tight (not on sidewalk or in roadway). Break down boxes to allow for more recyclables in the bin. Open lids allow for trash to blow and litter our community. As usual, plastic bags should not be placed in or alongside recycle bins.

Monroe Park Open

Image
Great News!! Monroe Park at 43rd Ave & Monroe St is open again. It has been closed in recent weeks due to excessive pet waste. Dog and cat ownership comes with responsibilities including keeping them on a leash and cleaning up after them (required by County and Town ordinances - $50 fine). Colmar Manor has 10 pet waste stations throughout the community for your convenience and is looking to install more (map available at www.colmarmanor.org ). There's a pet waste station at the entrance to Monroe Park. We will continue to monitor conditions at the park and will close the park again if necessary. We encourage everyone to do their part and and keep the park an enjoyable place for the children of our community to visit. Colmar Manor residents: Do Your Doody . . . Scoop That Poop!
