Why should you attend?? Our goal is to help bring out or enrich your inner green thumb. We’ll provide practical and proven growing methods for plants that grow well in our zone which will include vegetables, herbs and their flower companions. After this workshop you should be able to start and maintain a garden from scratch using raised beds, containers or planting directly into the ground. BONUS:  You can purchase locally grown, open-pollinated, heirloom and native seeds to get your garden off to a good start. CERT Training - November 20 & 21

Basic CERT Training is again available within Prince George's County beginning on November 20 & 21 at 9 AM. The CERT training is 16 hours over the course of 2 days and will be held at the Prince George's County Office of Emergency Management located at 7915 Anchor Street, Hyattsville, MD. Basic CERT Training covers skills that are important to know in a disaster when emergency services are not available. With training and practice, and by working as a team, you will be able to protect yourself and maximize your capability to help for the greatest number of people after a disaster.
